There's been hints of an Apple TV app coming to a Microsoft device for a while now and today the suspicions had by many have been confirmed.
Over the last day or so (via WC), various users have reported seeing an official Apple TV app showing up for them on their Xbox One consoles. The app's appearance seems to be very limited currently, likely suggesting that it's in its testing phase before a proper rollout to the general public.
Is Apple TV+ available on the Xbox One? Sadly no, but you may be able to enjoy Apple TV+ through one of several other streaming devices.
The Apple TV now supports the Apple Arcade subscription feature, but whether you're going all-in on Apple's gaming service or not, there's big news for those who enjoy a spot of App Store gaming. At launch, Apple TV+ only exists within the Apple TV app, which is exclusive to Apple devices. That means at this time, there is no Apple TV app for PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. The Apple TV app provides users with most of the functionality of the Apple TV devices including access to the new Apple TV+ service. Apple TV apps have also launched on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and a variety of smart TVs so its arrival on Xbox consoles isn't that much of a surprise.

It's somewhat interesting that Apple and Microsoft are working on this, given the fact Apple effectively blocked Project xCloud streaming via Xbox Game Pass recently with some draconian requirement for Microsoft to submit each game in the library separately. Apple TV, obviously, won't submit every movie and TV show in its service separately, which contrasts with iOS policies.
In any case, it looks like Apple TV fans will soon be able to grab the service directly from their Xbox without having to pick up an Apple TV box or a supported television set. While we're unsure of the timing of this app going live, it could launch to coincide with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S release date on November 10.
